Geolocation added to Moniit's Meldman

New in Monit Data’s MeldMan – Geolocation for Parking Equipment

Monit Data has added a new functionality to MeldMan: geolocation of parking equipment. The new functionality helps maintenance and service teams locate equipment more easily and carry out repair and maintenance activities more efficiently.

For  both public and private parking operators, reliable operation of parking equipment such as barriers, payment machines and other infrastructure is an important part of day-to-day parking management. Effective maintenance and quick fault repairs helps to minimise downtime, support continuity of service and reduce the operational impact of equipment failures.

MeldMan from Monit Data provides a digital solution for managing maintenance and service activities. Using any connected device, such as a smartphone, tablet or laptop, users can create, manage and close service tickets. MeldMan can be used for unexpected  incidents such as equipment failures or damage, as well as for planned activities including cleaning schedules, inspections and regular maintenance.

New – Geolocation

Parking operators may manage dozens or even hundreds of pieces of equipment, often distributed across multiple locations. Finding the correct equipment can therefore take time, particularly when service teams are working across larger areas or unfamiliar locations.

That is why Monit is now introducing the new geolocation functionality in MeldMan. A ticket can include a Google Maps link showing the exact location of the relevant equipment. With just one click, service teams can easily find their way to the equipment and complete their work more quickly.

The geolocation data for each piece of equipment can be easily added or updated. From the administrator page in the MeldMan dashboard, users can either select a location directly on a map or enter the relevant coordinates manually.

Making equipment management easier

The addition of geolocation further supports parking operators in the management of their equipment. Providing practical functionalities that help parking operators manage their equipment and maintenance processes is an important part of the ongoing development of MeldMan.

Another example of this is the support of the use of QR codes. By scanning the QR code attached to a piece of equipment with a mobile phone, an employee is taken directly to the relevant MeldMan page for that equipment. This allows a malfunction or other incident to be registered quickly and easily.

Another option is ‘Workflow Light’, which provides predefined instructions for resolving common issues. For example, an employee can be guided through a easy procedure such as ‘reset the door lock using buttons A,B and C’.

About MeldMan

Parking facility operators often use equipment from multiple suppliers and which is located over several locations. Managing all this equipment centrally and maintaining a clear overview can therefore be a complex task.

Monit Data’s MeldMan is designed to support these situations. MeldMan is a user-friendly digital application for managing service tickets relating to parking and other equipment. These can include unexpected incidents such as malfunctions or damage, as well as regularly scheduled activities such as maintenance, cleaning or emptying cash drawers. From a single dashboard, the complete ticket process can be managed, from the initial report and response through to follow-up actions by a supplier where required. Employees and management maintain a clear overview through daily reports, task lists and other management information.

MeldMan helps organisations manage incidents and scheduled maintenance more efficiently. This supports reliable day-to-day operations and contributes to consistent service delivery for parking users.

Equipment in more than 500 parking facilities and over 800 on-street locations across the Netherlands, Germany, Austria and Switzerland is currently being managed with MeldMan.
