This is thanks to the introduction of the upgraded version of Vtag, Monit Data’s service for fully digital bicycle parking management. With a new app and cloud service, scanning bicycles in and out has become quicker and more convenient.

However, all these bikes need a place to park—both at the owner’s home and at their destination. The increasing number of bicycles parked on streets contributes to clutter in public spaces and encourages theft and vandalism. As a result, moving bicycles off the streets and into staffed parking facilities has become a key topic in urban parking policies.

Vtag is upgraded
Recently, the Vtag service has been completely revamped. The smartphone app used by staff to scan ‘Bikey’ QR codes is now easier and more efficient to use. The accompanying cloud-based server has also been optimized, ensuring faster performance. The upgraded Vtag service was developed through a close and highly positive collaboration between Biesieklette and Monit Data. The new app is currently being rolled out to smartphones across Biesieklette’s various facilities.

The upgraded Vtag service offers numerous benefits, including:
Faster and Easier Scanning. By optimizing the smartphone camera in the app and improving interactions with the cloud server, scanning the “Bikey” is now quicker. This benefits both cyclists and staff and enables more bikes to be processed during peak times.
More User-Friendly App for Staff. In addition to faster scanning, the app now features a fully modernized user interface, making it easier to use. Features include support for multiple languages, personalized backgrounds, and a dark/night mode.
Simpler Operations. Vtag is now easier and more cost-effective to use. With over-the-air (OTA) updates, the app always has the latest features and security without requiring time-consuming manual installations. Additionally, there’s an option to rent ready-to-use scanners to minimize upfront investment.
