Monit Data is exhibiting at Parkex 2024

Parkex is the UK’s premier conference and exhibition for the parking industry. Monit Data is proud to announce we will be exhibiting at Parkex 2024 on 22-23 May. This year Parkex is combined with several other mobility industry exhibitions making it a ‘one stop’ event.

Parkex is hosted by the British Parking Association (BPA) and is the place for industry experts and BPA members to meet. At one event the latest topics and developments of the industry can be shared. Thereby providing guidance how parking fits in the challenges many cities are facing in balancing accessibility and a sustainable ‘green’ environment.

This year Parkex has found a new home in Coventry and is for the first time co-located with Traffex (roads and highways) and Evex (EV infrastructure). It is now a true ‘one-stop’ event for mobility professionals.

Making use of parking data

Parking data has seen an impressive growth in recent years. Parking meters, barriers, parking apps, payment systems – combining the data from all these sources has provided operators and owners of parking facilities with opportunities for better insights.

The Dutch parking industry has been leading in the use of data. With a busy shared public space and the goal of a more sustainable environment this market faces many challenges. The place of the (parked) car in the mobility mix is therefore an important subject. This has resulted in a dynamic market with many developments such as a quick growth of online payments, a high share of EVs, and alternative mobility options like bicycles and car sharing schemes.

This complex parking market requires a strong data infrastructure to support it. For over 10 years Monit Data is an integral part of this data infrastructure. We provide data-driven insights for parking operators for policies, and operational and financial management.

Parking data infrastructures are now also forming in many other countries. The UK recently started the National Parking Platform. To support these initiatives Monit Data is expanding in the international market. We have recently joined the British Parking Association to bring our knowledge and services to its members.
